Telemetry Wealth LLC ("Telemetry Wealth," "we," "our," or "us") operates a personal finance and wealth management platform (the "Service") that helps individuals and households track investments, monitor net worth, and manage budgets. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your financial and personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have regarding your information. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Because we handle nonpublic personal financial information, we are subject to the privacy requirements of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ("GLBA") and the FTC Safeguards Rule. This Privacy Policy serves as both our general privacy disclosure and our GLBA privacy notice.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account registration information (name, email address, password managed through Firebase Authentication)
  • Financial account information you choose to connect, including bank account data, investment account data, and credit card data
  • Transaction data, including amounts, dates, merchants, and categories
  • Manual entries you input, including account balances, asset valuations, and budget targets
  • Communications you send us, including support requests and feedback

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data and application activity logs, including features accessed and actions taken
  • Device and browser information, including IP address, browser type, and operating system

2.3 Information Received from Third Parties

  • Financial account data received from SimpleFIN Bridge, including account balances and transaction history, when you connect your financial accounts
  • Property valuation data from RentCast when you add real estate assets to your net worth tracking
  • Market price data for securities and other assets from financial data providers

2.4 Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect or store your bank account passwords or online banking credentials. When you connect financial accounts, authentication is handled directly by SimpleFIN through its secure connection process
  • We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service, including generating financial insights, tracking net worth, and powering the AI-assisted financial analysis features
  • Process your subscription and manage your account
  • Respond to your questions, comments, and support requests
  • Send you service-related communications, including billing notices, security alerts, and product updates
  • Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve the Service
  • Detect, prevent, and address security incidents, fraud, and other harmful activity
  • Comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and other applicable policies

We do not use your financial information for advertising or marketing purposes, and we do not share it with advertisers.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

4.1 Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including:

  • Google Cloud — cloud infrastructure hosting, data storage, and AI processing
  • Firebase (Google) — user authentication
  • Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions
  • SimpleFIN Bridge — financial data aggregation (data shared only as necessary to connect and sync your accounts)

All service providers are required to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information and are prohibited from using it for their own independent purposes.

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Telemetry Wealth, our users, or the public.

4.3 Business Transfers

In connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4.4 With Your Consent

We may share your information with third parties when you have given us your explicit consent to do so.

5. Data Security

We take the security of your financial information seriously and implement industry-standard safeguards, including:

  • TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your device and our servers
  • AES-256 encryption at rest for all data stored in our database and cloud infrastructure
  • Application-layer encryption for sensitive credentials and API keys, stored in Google Cloud Secret Manager
  • Role-based access controls limiting access to your data to only the systems and personnel that need it
  • Multi-factor authentication required for all administrative access to production systems
  • Regular security audits
  • A comprehensive Written Information Security Program maintained in accordance with the GLBA Safeguards Rule

While we implement these safeguards, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Upon account deletion:

  • Your account and all associated financial data are deleted from our production systems within 24 hours of your deletion request
  • Automated database backups are retained for up to 7 days following deletion, after which they are permanently deleted
  • Application logs may retain anonymized usage data for up to 30 days
  • We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes or enforcing our agreements

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Access and Correction

You may access and update your account information at any time through the Service's settings. If you need assistance correcting inaccurate information, contact us at privacy@telemetrywealth.com.

7.2 Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at privacy@telemetrywealth.com. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our systems as described in Section 6.

7.3 Data Portability

You may download an export of your personal data in a machine-readable format at any time from your account settings, under Profile. You may also request one by contacting us at privacy@telemetrywealth.com, and we will respond within 30 days.

7.4 Opt-Out of Non-Essential Communications

You may opt out of non-essential marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email we send, or by contacting us directly. You cannot opt out of service-related communications (such as billing notices and security alerts) while your account is active.

8. GLBA Privacy Notice

Under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, we are required to provide you with a notice of our privacy practices regarding nonpublic personal financial information.

What we collect: We collect nonpublic personal financial information from you when you use our Service, including account data, transaction history, investment data, and financial planning information.

What we share: We do not share your nonpublic personal financial information with nonaffiliated third parties for marketing purposes. We share your information with service providers as described in Section 4.1 above, solely as necessary to provide the Service.

How we protect your information: We maintain the physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards described in Section 5 above and in our Written Information Security Program.

Your right to opt out: Because we do not share your nonpublic personal financial information with nonaffiliated third parties for marketing purposes, there is no opt-out right applicable to our sharing practices under GLBA.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"):

  • Right to Know: You have the right to request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which we collected it, our purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell your personal information. You do not need to opt out

10. Cookies and Tracking

Our Service uses the following types of tracking technologies:

  • Essential cookies and session tokens required for authentication and application functionality
  • We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers in the production application

You can control cookie settings through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may impair the functionality of the Service.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete such information.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website and, where appropriate, by sending you an email notification. The "Effective Date" at the top of this policy indicates when the policy was last updated. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
